MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT

Live music is a real-asset business — venues, stages, logistics, and talent. Balance Capital entered it the same way it enters everything: as an operator.
THE ORIGIN
The entry point was real estate: one of Wieland Development's warehouse music tenants produces events drawing 80,000+ attendees. Watching that business operate from the landlord's side of the lease revealed an industry with real cash flows, real logistics, and real barriers to entry — a natural fit for an operator.
Balance Capital moved from landlord to principal, partnering with Iowa-native festival builders to launch its own events platform.
One of the large independent music production and events companies, producing shows across the United States, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic — festival stages, destination events, and touring productions — with a strategic mission to go public within three to five years. Balance Capital holds a principal position alongside some of the most respected names in live production.
The platform's ground-up festival brand, operating under the Legacy Live umbrella. In just six months from formation to gates, the team delivered a four-day event featuring nationally recognized art installations, four stages of continuous music, and more than 80 performers. balancemusicfest.com →
