THE ORIGIN
The entry point was real estate: one of Wieland Development's warehouse music tenants produces events drawing 80,000+ attendees. Watching that business operate from the landlord's side of the lease revealed an industry with real cash flows, real logistics, and real barriers to entry — a natural fit for an operator.
Balance Capital moved from landlord to principal, partnering with Iowa-native festival builders to launch its own events platform.
One of the large independent music production and events companies, producing shows across the United States, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic — festival stages, destination events, and touring productions — with a strategic mission to go public within three to five years.
